The clamp was tightened at with a torque wrench at 3-4 Nm and I have put a new layer of carbon paste. I have around 88 kg and the seatpost glides down about 5mm during a ride. WebApr 24, 2024 · It seems as though the seat clamp fittings get stuck and don't rotate as they should. I fixed this by inserting a narrow-bladed screwdriver in between the post and the seat clamp and it popped out. Same the other side. Bit of a leap of faith, but it worked. Very frustrating that you should have to do this and risk damaging the post. WebPlease check the pics first. As you know the new carbon Canyons have an integrated type of seat clamp, with some sort of a plastic/rubber sleeve covering the opening, and a screw a few centimeters below to tighten it.
