I upgraded the speaker and the valves. I gig it all the time. Plenty loud, really good tone, not had any hassles at all with it. The Laney LC15 amplifier uses: 2 x ECC83 (also known as 12AX7) preamp valves. 1 x Balanced ECC83 for the phase inverter in position V3. 2 x EL84 matched power valves/power tubes. Note: The V3 valve is the preamp valve furthest from the input jack. We always recommend Sovtek or JJ valves for Laney LC15 amplifier.
